- Reduce your carbohydrate intake, i know as nigerians 80% of our meal is carbs like i would say "so so carb no prot". Take carbohydrate at least once a day preferably for breakfast because the enzymes in your mouth in the morning helps to speedily breakdown the carbs and you can use that energy through out the day.
- Portion portion portionsss, this cant be over emphasized. when you want to eat reduce your food portion, to be on the safe size get a small plate and use it for eating don't fill the plate with food. when you see some nigerians plates, its like mount Everest that cant be moved. please if that's you stop it now. eat small portions once, don't go for second round of food.
- chew your food. most people don't chew their food they just swallow. make sure you chew your food slowly for at least 10seconds it helps give you a sense of satisfaction and sense signals to your brain that your stomach is full on time.
- Don't eat in between meals, when you feel hungry or having cravings go for healthy snacks such as nuts, fruits and drink lots of water.
- make sure your last meal for the day is least three hours before going to bed, this is important because you must have broken down the food in physical activity before going to bed.
- when you wake up in the morning drink lemon water or cucumber water this will help with abdominal fat and given you a quick morning boost, speed up your metabolism because the faster your metabolism the quicker you burn fat and calories.
- physical exercise, if you don't like a gym you can work out at home and in the office.
- Lastly change your mind set you have to acknowledge you need to loose weight or be fit and decide to walk towards your desired goals.
